Chapter 22

The car fetching them was a Long Brunswick. Besides the driver, there was another man. When they saw Bai Shuli, they immediately stepped forward to take the luggage. The driver placed the luggage in the boot. The man opened the door for them politely.

The back of the Bruns is a six seater. Tang Xin Lian, Ruan Xiang Ping and Cheng Cheng sat together. Bai Shuli sat opposite them.

Tang Xin Lian did not dare to look at Bai Shuli. After so many years, Bai Shuli had become more handsome. Although he was dressed very casually, all it took was one look at the material and it was easy to know that its cost was very high. With how long Tang Xin Lian has been with Zhong Zhengdong, she has naturally also developed some appraisal skills.

Bai Shuli still had that same noble aura around him. From a way a person dress's and speaks, it was possible to see that whether that person lead a good life.

From the time Tang Xin Lian saw Bai Shuli to the time he got up the car, she could feel that Bai Shuli seemed to be very successful. Additionally, when they first got up the car, she heard the man sitting in front call him "General Manager".

Back then, she realised that the Bai family was extremely powerful in the political and business circles. It was just that they were typically very low key. Furthermore, they looked down on the Tang family.

Due to this, her decision to steel her heart against Bai Shuli became even firmer. If even her elder sister, the daughter of the official wife couldn't enter their eyes, how could she, a lowly mistress' daughter have the qualification to enter the Bai family?

The events from the past flashed through Tang Xin Lian's mind. She smiled bitterly in her heart. Xiang Ping had actually arranged such a drama behind her back. What use was it? Moreover, she was already with Zhong Zhengdong. If he found out that she was meeting her first lover, she couldn't predict what he would do.

Suddenly, she remembered her own chauffeur. She was really too muddle headed. After getting onto Bai Shuli's car, she actually forgot her own chauffeur. She quickly made a call.

"Xiao Guo, Cheng Cheng and I are ridding my friend's car back. I'm so sorry. I forgot to tell you. You should return first. If I need a ride, I will call you again." After she finished giving the instructions, she ended the call.

"Who is Xiao Guo?" The one who asked was Bai Shuli. He was gentle and courteous, but his tone exuded a calm and unnegligible atmosphere. This sort of atmosphere was trained through managing the mall from a high position for many years

Tang Xin Lian did not know how to reply momentarily. If she said he was her chaffeur, Ruan Xiang Ping would definitely find it weird. This is because she has the deepest understanding of Tang Xin Lian's financial situation. She could not possibly afford to hire a chauffeur.

Just as she was wrecking her brain for a reason, Cheng Cheng suddenly replied for her. "Uncle Xiao Guo is our neighbour. He is a taxi driver."

Ruan Xiang Ping made a sudden realisation. "It turns out that you specifically called for a taxi. I'm so sorry. Letting him come for nothing, will it cause a problem?"

Tang Xin Lian shook her head. "It's okay. He's a nice person. He won't mind." She let out a sigh of relief in her heart. She secretly sneaked a look towards her son and thought in her heart that Cheng Cheng's reaction speed was really very fast. He doesn't even have to prepare a draft to tell a lie. He's already quickly becoming like Zhong Zhengdong. When she returns, she is going to protest to him. He is not allowed to teach such bad things to her son.

Because of how sudden everything was, Tang Xin Lian did not know of Xiang Ping's arrangements. Ever since she sat in the car, she had been too embarrassed to look at Bai Shuli. The only thing she did was to sit quietly and listen to Xiang Ping talking with Cheng Cheng. However, she can feel that Bai Shuli has been staring at her the whole time.

Bai Shuli's incessant staring made her rather helpless. She didn't know what to do. She could only remain calm and strong, while trying to cover up the chaos raging in her heart. At this moment, the phone in her bag rang, giving her a huge scare.

She looked at her phone swiftly and saw the word "Hubby" on it. Without even thinking, she pressed the screen to reject the call.

"Why aren't you answering the phone?' Xiang Ping asked her strangely.

"It's an unknown number. Probably some telemarketer or a scammer. Recently there have been many such calls. As long as it's a number I've never seen, I don't want to pick it up." She explained, In fact, her heart was feeling very guilty.

Ruan Xiang Ping nodded her head after listening. "Yeah. Recently there have been many strange calls. Some even hang the phone after a sound to entice you to call back. Actually they just want to earn from your call charges. Whatever you do, don't pick up random calls. You must be careful!"

Tang Xin Lian nodded her head. "Alright. I will take note." As she replied with a fake smile, her hand stealthily switched off the mobile. She feels that it's best if she doesn't let Zhong Zhengdong know about her meeting Bai Shuli again. Just......pretend that her phone ran out of power.....
